Ulla Popken has developed a system for you that takes the guesswork out of selecting our clothes. You may have noticed that we offer length information and have classified each garment into a specific fit category.

IN GENERAL: Depending on the fabric and style we offer double or single sizes. Ulla Popken garments have the perfect ease according to style and size, sizing up is not necessary. Most items are sold separately to make it easy to find the exact fit from top to bottom. Our collection is made for women 5'4" to 5'8".

IN DETAIL: To choose your size for blouses, jackets, tops, sweaters, dresses, vests, and coats, determine which measurement is larger, hip or bust; use the larger measurement. Choose all pants and skirt sizes by using your hip measurement.

The majority of our tops are graded in length. The 12/14 is shortest in length and the 36/38 is the longest. Beginning with the spring 2009 collection, we have adjusted the way we list top lengths in the catalog and on the internet. A range of lengths are listed for each item.

To determine the length of a top in your size, locate the lengths of the item listed in the catalog and find your size on the chart below for the exact length of the item. Items over 34 inches are not graded usually. Please note that in the catalog some items will say Length 32" (all sizes). This means that each size is 32" in length. Lengths can vary slightly and may not be exact.

To find the perfect fit take the below basic measurements. They are the key to good fit and style. Hold the measuring tape firm, but not tight. Circle your body measurements on the chart where they apply. This will give you your clothing size.

A. BUST:
Measure around the fullest part of your bust keeping the tape level.

B. WAIST:
Place the tape around your natural waist where you feel most comfortable.

C. HIP:
Measure around the fullest part of the hip--approximately 8 inches below the waist, keeping the tape level. Look from the side to help determine your fullest part.

D. INSEAM:
Measure between the legs to the bottom of the anklebone, or take one of your favorite pants and measure the inseam from crotch to hem.
