    When were jeans invented?

Jeans are a type of pants typically made from denim for men, women, and children. They were first invented in 1871 by Levi Strauss & Co. and haven’t been out of style since!

    What jeans are in style?

Fashion styles come and go but the most popular styles of women’s jeans include skinny, boyfriend, acid wash, distressed, blue, black, dark denim, light blue washed jeans, and jeggings.

    What jeans should I wear?

When shopping around for jeans, for the right fit, consider your body type and the shape and size of your torso, hips, and thighs.

    Jeans by body shape:

    • Pear Shape: Straight leg.
    • Apple Shape: Trouser-cut.
    • Hourglass: Mid-rise bootcut.
    • Triangle: Low-rise bootcut or skinny jeans.
If you have a longer torso, a high-rise style may be right for you. For shorter torsos, try hip-huggers since they make your midsection appear longer. If you have a flatter butt, having jeans which feature large pockets will help. For all those petite ladies, cropped jeans in darker colors are ideal. If you have a larger butt, boyfriend jeans, flares with high waists, and anything stretchy is great. For plus size women, stretchy materials, dark washes, and anything with a higher waist works well. If you have larger hips, high-rise jeans with a little bit of stretch will work wonders. For large thighs, anything with a flare that’s stretchy is perfect.

    How should my jeans fit?

The way your jeans should fit vary by style. Boyfriend jeans, for example, will fit around your hips but be loose elsewhere. Skinny jeans will be skintight, like leggings, but will be stretchy enough for your legs to breathe freely.

Here are some things to keep in mind:

    • Pockets should be above your butt.
    • Spacing between pockets should be even.
    • Jeans should fit comfortably around your waist and hips.
    • Avoid jeans that are too tight or too loose.
    • Avoid jeans which give you muffin top.
    • Jeans should fit in the crotch area.

What jeans can you wear for work?

You can have the best of both worlds when you mesh jeans into the workplace. Our favorite look of all is a pair of dark denim jeans with your favorite heels and a fun blouse with a blazer to top it all off. It’s fresh, clean, and simple. Dark denim or black jeans always work great with blouses, sequin tops, button down tops, monochromatic shirts, and more. You can add a cardigan, blazer, or vest for a professional look perfect for casual days.

How to accessorize jeans with your shoes:

Pairing the right shoes with your jeans doesn’t have to be a hassle. Consider the cut, style, and color of your jeans. Then, choose the type of shoe you want to wear. We recommend: boots, sneakers, ankle boots, pumps, preppy boat shoes, printed, Oxfords, flats, or kitten heels. Make sure the color of the jeans don’t clash with your shoes and the rest of the outfit. For example, if you’re wearing a casual tee, dark denim, then a white sneaker is the perfect accessory and adds a nice level of contrast to your outfit.
